Instructor-led training built so every session goes well, whoever teaches it.

We design the presentations, facilitator guides and participant materials your classroom and virtual sessions rely on, and the self-paced pieces that prepare learners before they arrive.

Training that depends on the room

The classroom earns its cost when learning depends on interaction: practice with feedback, difficult conversations, role-play and hands-on work. Those sessions are only as consistent as the materials behind them. Without a structured guide, each session drifts toward whoever leads it, and participants leave with nothing to use once they are back at work.

What we build

  • Presentations

Slide decks for classroom and virtual sessions, designed on your brand.

  • Facilitator guides

Timing, talking points, activity instructions, discussion prompts and slide-by-slide notes, so every facilitator delivers the session the same way.

  • Participant workbooks

Print or digital workbooks learners use during and after the session, with activity worksheets, space for notes and reflection, and the key points to come back to.

  • Job aids and quick reference cards

The steps and facts people need at the moment they do the task.

  • Checklists and fillable forms

Checklists and fillable PDFs for the procedures the training covers.

  • Pre-work and follow-up

Short self-paced modules that bring everyone in at the same level, and reinforcement afterward so what was learned holds.

What you receive

  • Print-ready and digital files.
  • Editable source files in Word, PowerPoint, InDesign or PDF, at no extra cost.
  • A design on your brand.
  • One instructional approach across the slides, guides and workbooks.

Who does the work

The same in-house team that builds our eLearning: instructional designers who interview your experts and structure the content, writers, and graphic designers who build on your brand. Nothing is subcontracted.

Where it fits

  • Blended programs

A blended program pairs self-paced courses with live sessions. Canada Soccer's coach education works this way: coaches complete self-paced courses, then a practical workshop delivered locally.

  • Pre-work that frees classroom time

Sunwing's 50-page pre-class workbook became a digital workbook with automatic grading, and classroom time fell by at least an hour per session.

Planning the mix of live and online?

A free consulting session gives you an instructional designer's view of what belongs in the room, what belongs online, and how the pieces fit together.

  • Moving a session online

When a session no longer needs the room, we convert it to self-paced eLearning.

  • Planning a whole program

eLearning consulting maps the curriculum and recommends the right mix of eLearning, instructor-led training, video and job aids before anything is built.

FAQ

Do we own the materials?

Yes, including the editable source files.

What does it cost?

Every project is quoted, based on how much material the program needs and how finished your content already is.

Should this training be online instead?

Some of it may be. Stable, informational content usually converts well, while discussion, practice with feedback and role-play usually earn the classroom. A free consulting session is a good place to sort out which is which.

Will every facilitator deliver the session the same way?

Yes, with the facilitator guide we write. It gives timing, talking points, activity instructions, discussion prompts and slide-by-slide notes.

Who builds the materials?

Our own in-house team: instructional designers who work with your experts to structure the content, writers, and graphic designers who build on your brand. Nothing is subcontracted.

Can you prepare learners before the session?

Yes. Short self-paced modules bring everyone in at the same level, and follow-up reinforcement afterward helps what was learned hold.

How can we help with your instructor-led training?

Tell us what you're working on and we'll suggest where to start. We reply within three business hours.
